How the Challenge Works

Here's an overview of how the SIWC works and what happens to your wines when they reach our warehouse:

Arrival: Wines will be checked, given a unique code.

Sorting and Photographing: Wines are photographed for our directory book, Apps, website and weibo at this stage. After photographing they will be organized by style then country in temperature controlled storage.

Bland Tasting: Wines are picked from the warehouse put into blind tasting bags and tagged with their unique identifier to keep their true identity concealed. Then the wines are waiting for judging.

Rules and Regulations for SIWC
We adopt the classic 100-point scale used by most wine industry publications, and the standard is as follow:

Platinum Award: score>90 points
Gold Award: 87≤score<90 points
Silver Award: 83≤score<87 points

The best trophy winner will be selected in those gets the highest core.
If two or more board member decide a wine does not deserve a medal, the wine is eliminated.
The chairman has the right to make the final decision if there is any divergence in the judge panel.

Rule Of Entry

1. The wine must be made 100% from grapes grown in the country as the front label.
2.The wine must be completely brewed and bottled. Packed with sealed package.

Steps To Enter

1. To visit our website to Online registration or download Entry Form and Wine Entry Sheet. 
2. Complete the form and sheet online or email to us, Email: zhuangyuan@itoc.com.cn
3. Receive e-mail confirmation of entry from the organizing committee.
4. Send wine(s) to the SIWC official warehouse before deadline. 
5. 6 bottles (750ml/bottle) of wine must be submitted for every entry. If capacity is less than 750ml/bottle, please make 12 Bottle/Entry. 

Entry Fee

1. Register on our official website: www.siwc.sh.cn or log in to your account if you have entered previously.
2. Complete and submit your online entry before June 6, 2025.
3. Deliver the wine samples to the designated warehouse before June 13, 2025.
4. Announce the results of the competition at the awards ceremony.

Entry fee and feedback service:

1. Public Tasting Zone: The entry fee is RMB 1,000 * unlimited number of entries
2. Expert Tasting Zone: The entry fee is RMB 1,000 per wine
3. Natural wine: The entry fee is RMB 2,000 * unlimited number of entries

All awarded wines will receive the following privileges:

- Official certificate issued by the competition organizing committee
- Listing in the SIWC2025 Yearbook (print & digital editions)
- Priority access to complimentary participation in host-organized national roadshow events
- Priority recommendation to restaurant outlets and retail distribution channels

Shipping Manual and Tariff

Notice:
1. To ensure an accurate evaluation, please provide 6 bottles (750ml per bottle) for each wine sample. In the case of wines with bottle sizes less than 750ml, such as iced wine, please provide 12 bottles of wine samples. It is crucial to indicate the exact vintage of the wine samples for proper assessment.
* For concurrent entries in two categories, provide double the required wine samples.
2. Please ensure that the outer packaging of the wine samples prominently displays: "SIWC SHANGHAI" along with your company information.
